Harmful quick weight loss videos on social media.

Losing excess weight is a good decision.

Its one of the best investments you can make in life.

Maintaining a healthy weight means you are less likely to have cardiovascular diseases, mobility issues and other complications that come with being overweight.

Losing weight is important but losing weight correctly and safely is even more important and necessary.

To many people are ending up in the hospital with life-changing illnesses due to them going on a diet without professional advice from a nutritionist or dietitian.

Self-diagnosing without correct knowledge and understanding is deadly and extremely harmful.

The common illnesses that are more prevalent as a result of incorrect diet plans range from type 1 diabetes, kidney stones, gout, liver functionality issues, bulimia, anorexia and iron deficiency.

I know this sounds extreme and shocking but we need to understand why has there been a rise in these issues and what is leading individuals towards this path.

From my experience, I have come to the understanding that when it comes to weight loss a lot of individuals are getting their information from other people’s weight transformation experiences on social media.

The issue isn’t only the information but the education of how to implement the information safely.

A lot of videos inform people of the benefits of certain diet plans, vitamins and minerals; but I have noticed a lot of them do not talk about the side effects that can happen.

For example, there was a video on Ashwaganda and its health benefits in regards to improving thyroid functionality but the presenter of the video didn’t mention the risk of taking Ashwaganda.

It can be extremely harmful to people who suffer from Hypotension (low blood pressure) as it has shown to lower blood pressure.

Now I understand that social media viewers like most videos to be short sweet and simple.

However, it won’t hurt anyone if the videos on health are comprehensive.

As no one deserves half information on health issues.

People may start implementing popular diets plans without diagnosing why they are overweight themselves.

This action has led to people losing hope and causing depression, envy and frustration when they don’t see any change.

Not every diet plan works.

Everyone has some type of unique reason why they have gained weight.

Hence why individuals need customised diet plans to resolve the issue and to help them see positive signs of improvement.

Many Nutritionists and Dietitians can see quickly if their clients have followed unapproved diet plans.

We have experienced and witnessed the horrible side effects clients have endured due to them following diet plans which have never been approved by a specialist.

One of the common signs of someone going on an unapproved diet plan is the side effect of excessive loose skin and type 1 diabetes.

These conditions are not pleasant and are totally avoidable as anyone who decides to adopt a diet plan without specialist guidance will fall into this trap.

Some might lose weight but the risk of getting type 1 diabetes isn't worth it.

People who never experience type 1 diabetes are shocked when the doctors report explains why they have been feeling ill and fainting.

This is because the unapproved diet plan to reduce body fat rapidly has instead been depleting the glycogen based fat unnaturally and extremely.

The side effect of this action causes long term damage to the functionality of the pancreas.

The pancreas produces insulin which is needed for the body to functional properly.

Due to this choice, many individuals are now diabetic and need to use insulin injections for life.

Sadly this is a result of the unapproved diet plan from unqualified people on social media.

My sincere advice to anyone looking to lose weight is to please seek professional advice and guidance from a qualified Nutritionist or Dietitian.

Your health is important and precious.

I hope my blog has been helpful and informative in helping you making the correct decision.
